| This Josiah Lewis shows up in Bladen County in the US Censuses from 1790 to 1830. Conventional Wisdom claims that he has to be the son of Josiah Lewis, Sr. of Bladen County, but Josiah Sr.'s son Josiah Jr. moved to Horry County, SC in 1789. The only "logical" conclusion is that this Josiah Lewis has to be the son of one of Josiah Lewis, Sr.'s brothers - either Samuel or William Lewis. For now, the Author will leave him as the son of Samuel, but when newer information becomes available, this might change. | ||||
