Descendents of James Lewis and Mary Phillips

The Author is not 100% sure that this James Lewis is the son of William Franklin Lewis, but childrens' and grandchildrens' names do seem to provide a clue that this is entirely possible. There is a long gap between WF's sons Aaron and Alfred, so this too fits. In looking at the other possible parents for this James Lewis in "my neck of the woods," no other branch seems to work. Of course, it is entirely possible that this James Lewis is not from "my neck of the woods." So, if anyone has better information on this Lewis family, please contact me.

The primary circumstance that points towards this James Lewis NOT being the son of William Franklin Lewis or any other branch I'm tracking is the fact that NONE are known to have gone to Louisiana. However, since his wife, Mary Phillips is from Alabama, and this Lewis family did go to Alabama, and other branches made it all the way to Texas by this point in time, it is entirely possible that this James was the "lone wolf" to make his way to Louisiana. Or, there are others that I have simply not tracked down as yet. So, stay tuned.
