James and Charity started their family in Horry County, SC. In 1807, James and Charity moved their family to Marion County, SC and remained there until James's death in 1818.When Moultrie became an adult, he moved to Simpson County, MS and Charity apparently went with her son. Charity moved back to Marion County, SC in the 1830s.
