Jacob Lewis and Penelope Lobar had the following five children. When Jacob's children were young, he separated himself from his family, indicating that Penelope had been unfaithful to him and that the children were not begotten by him, but by a man by the name of Walston. He bequeathed a sizeable tract of land to them and found a place of his own nearby. Jacob was murdered by runaway slaves in Wilmington, NC on 7/2/1795.

The Author has been unable to track any of Jacob's children any further. They either left the area or changed their last name as a result of their father's allegations.
