Descendents of Green Lewis and Mary Katherine Camp
Green Lewis was a pioneer in the state of Alabama, serving in the Indian War under Col. Beall's First Regiment of Georgia Mounted Volunteers. He enlisted at Ft. Ingersoll and served from June 2 through July 22, 1836. He moved to Florida and married Mary Katherine Camp in 1837, then moved with other members of his family to Dale County, AL. Green died in 1871 and is buried in Hurricane Creek Methodist Church Cemetary near Hartford, Geneva County, AL next to his wife, Mary Katherine.
