Co. K formed and joins 18th NC Regiment.

Tait's Company formed (later to become Co. K of 40th NC Regiment)

Co. D formed and joins 53rd NC Regiment.

Co. B formed and joins 36th NC Regiment (2nd Artillery)

Co. H formed and joins 36th NC Regiment (2nd Artillery)
