| Starting in the 1760s, the following Lewis families began to settle in Bladen County. Some of these folks are related to Josiah Lewis, the first Lewis to permanently settle in Bladen County. Some are related to other Lewis families in the surrounding counties. The remainder cannot be accurately traced to any of the known Lewis families in the area, but very likely are related in some manner. The Author has not been able to make the connections as yet.
