Benjamin Lewis, Jr. shows up in many deed transactions of Marion County, SC and he was known as "Benney" Lewis to distinguish him from his father. He moved his family to Darlington County, SC sometime around 1799. Benjamin and Elizabeth were members of the Black Creek Baptist Church of Darlington County, SC. Soon after his father's death, circa 1821, Benjamin moved his family again, this time to Alabama, where he and Elizabeth remained until their deaths. | ||||
