* Born in Bladen County, NC. | ||||
On October 11, 1832, Aaron Lewis met with Judge Robert Strange in the Superior Court of Law for Bladen County, NC, and completed his "Pension Statement" for his service during the US Revolutionary War. At the end of this Pension Statement, there is a note that he transferred his pension benefits "to the agency of Alabama at which time he lived in Pike County, Alabama." His principal reason for moving was to be near his children, who had all moved to Alabama. If anyone can provide additional information, all help is greatly appreciated. |
